In honour of Valentine’s Day coming up this Friday, I thought I would compile a list of some of my favourite date night spots in Melbourne.
Let me know if I missed any or which others I should try!

Dons
First one off the bat, a cute little wine bar situation located in Prahran. They do a fantastic Monday night date night deal; for $40pp you get a glass of wine, confit garlic focaccia, handmade pasta AND desert. A STEAL.
Manzé
I have to mention Manzé in any list that involves my favourite restaurants. Serving incredible Mauritius food, I have never had a bad time here. Flavour bombs left, right, and centre, you’ll experience food like never before. Trust me, it’s that good.
Clover
A recent addition to my list of date night spots. We sat right up at the bar and could see all the action in the kitchen. Cosy, intimate and amazing food. The honey bread is a must.
Public Wine Shop
This is as close as I’ll get to Hobart’s Sonny in Melbourne (iykyk). Fun to sit outside or on the long bench inside. Perfect place for some quality yapping over even better wine! The menu rotates regularly, but I’m yet to see it miss.
Neighbourhood Wine
A true Northside gem. I love coming here for date night but it’s also really great for a mate date too. Think low lighting, delicious food, amazing service and impeccable service. Keep room for desert, it’s ridiculously good.
Bar Liberty
Josh and I had one of our first dates here. I believe the menu is inspired by Polish food. So the potato dumplings are an obvious choice, but the flatbread which is served with various toppings is a winner in my books.
Bar Holiday
A cute little Carlton bar which offers delicious bites too. This one is not too pretentious nor intimidating. There’s Hareruya pantry next door too, which makes for a convenient desert stop-off on your date night agenda.
Ooooh adding these to my to-try list ❣️
